Hi, I'm Rachel

At some point, life can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with grief, trauma, depression, feeling lost, hopeless and unsure where to turn.

As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely.

Whether we meet face to face in St Ives,  Huntingdon or online, my aim is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood.

Together, we can safely explore your experiences and create a healing journey that helps you move towards your truest, most authentic self.

My experience

My approach

My sessions

My counselling experience has largely involved working with  people who have experienced trauma, loss or deeply distressing events. Through this work, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how these experiences can affect emotions, the body, behaviour and relationships throughout life.

I also have experience supporting people who have been sexually assaulted in childhood or adulthood, and I work in a trauma-informed way that emphasises safety, self-forgiveness and compassion. I support adults who are seeking to understand their own experiences and the impact these have had on their lives.

Whoever you are and whatever your background, you’ll be met with empathy, belief and genuine care.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that healing begins within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding and respect for your individual pace.

In our sessions, I offer a calm, consistent space where you can explore your feelings without judgement or pressure. I won’t give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I will support you as you begin to make sense of your experiences and move towards feeling safer, clearer and more connected to yourself.

I aim to create a welcoming space for all clients, and I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA clients. As someone with lived experience in these areas, I know how important it is to speak to someone who understands their challenges without fear of their identity being dismissed or misunderstood.

Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes and costs £60. Sessions can take place in person in St Ives or Huntingdon, or online via Doxy.me.

Concession rates are available for students and those on a lower income.

I am currently unable to accept referrals through private health insurers.
